Our Story.

Inspired by summers by the sea, gracious living, and ALWAYS having the most fun, Belmead Designs mixes classic needlepoint elements with an irreverent sense of humor for the modern stitcher.

Our founder Victoria is a film and television designer, screenwriter, and producer and long time needlepointer. After years of painting her own canvases to stitch, and being one half of the original needlepoint meet-up group, Young Needlepointers NYC, she launched Belmead Designs in early 2020.

The name Belmead comes from a beloved old family house in Newport, RI and represents our aesthetic - mixing of old and new, high and low, and how anything classic can always be reinvented and repurposed with style and a dash of fun to fit today’s modern world.
